10:15 on a Saturday Night

Well, not yet....but it will be before I know it - I can feel the evening slipping away from me already.

So, everyone is already out and about and I am home with the little guy playing rescue heroes, baking cookies, and surfing the net.....honestly, you guys don't know how good I have it.

So, this weekend, while somewhat uneventful, IS 3 days long....and that in itself is enough to call for a celebration. So, today, my son and I did chores and shopped all day. And tomorrow we have planned a trip to the park. And Monday we are going to see the Harlem Globetrotters.

It's amazing....so often, I think that I am missing out on so much....you know, cuz I'm a mom and have to exhibit a certain amount of responsibility and act as a role model for my impressionable little man. But it is days like today that remind me that I'm only missing out on things that are generally insignificant. Even the best night of partying couldn't compare to the feeling that I got today when my son got his new light up shoes with race cars on the side and decided that they made him fast....so he had to run everywhere to show me. It was awesome. Nevin rocks
